Lows

I just don't understand lows, how they can strike at any time without warning. I ate breakfast this morning and took my regular medications. Two hours later, I test and I get 65. I don't even know how that happened! I feel great right now. Luckily, I am testing diligently two hours after every meal, otherwise I might not have noticed until later. It makes me nervous that I feel so good at such a low blood sugar. It was not that long ago that a blood sugar in the 90's made me shaky and feel like I had to treat myself for a low. I guess I'll go have 1/2 a coke.

Hi Susie,

It's very frustrating to not feel the lows, I can be in the 40s and feel just fine. I'm told that the reason I don't feel the lows is because I've run low way too often.

Like you, it's the 2 hour blood checks that usually catches a low in the act of heading further down.

Good luck with those lows :)
